Just starting on your journey?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you…
Two core values guide our approach to beginners at Framework BJJ Seattle.
First, that everyone was a beginner once. Every single person who got good at jiu-jitsu, up to and including world champions, was as inexperienced as every other new practitioner.
Second, that new students are important for everyone. Beginners aren’t merely tolerated – your presence contributes to all of our development, no matter how long we’ve been training or how skillful we are..
Multiple Entryways
We offer two different routes for new students to get started with BJJ.
Foundations Classes: Our twice weekly beginners classes are designed for students from day one to blue belt (and beyond). They are a space where newer learners can consistently practice the skills we feel are most important to develop in the beginning stages of their jiu-jitsu development.
Intro Program: If you’re looking to get started in a format designed exclusively for brand new students, we offer private and semi-private training via our Introduction to BJJ program. Intro is structured and priced on a case-by-case basis; contact us if you’re interested!
We offer a full free trial week, so that you can experience multiple classes and coaches, and get a sense for what day-to-day life in the gym feels like. If you’re interested, contact us here and we’ll get you on the mat!
Your First Foundations Class
When you’re ready to give Foundations a try, you can schedule your first session by reaching out to us here. We’ll get you set up for your first class.
You can expect to be warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. Your coach will thoughtfully partner you throughout the class, with more experienced students who are ready and willing to help you get your feet under you.
We offer a full free trial week, so you’ll have the chance to try multiple classes and get to know your fellow students and your coaches.
